project Creating Employment through Export Promotion (CETEP), offers the vacancy for a:

 

Local Intern

in the agriculture component

 

 Overall purpose of the assignment:

 

The intern will primarily support the GIZ team of the project Creating Employment through Export Promotion (CETEP), especially in the area of agricultural production and processing, in implementation of the project, in everyday activities and will fulfill tasks that will be delegated by the CETEP manager and the project team in the office. The intern should additionally support the team during implementation of project related activities.

 

Main tasks and responsibilities:

 

The following tasks/responsibilities are indicative and may be modified according to the needs of the project:

 

  • Support the project manager for agriculture and its team but also the overall management of CETEP in everyday project related duties
  • Support the preparation of project related events (meetings, workshops, round tables, conferences etc.) mainly in ensuring information flow, sending of invitations, taking of minutes of meetings and sending them to participants
  • Support the implementation, follow-up and monitoring activities of events in the office or venues outside the offices
  • Support the local and international expert in preparing and organizing events and field visits in the agricultural sector, with a special focus in medicinal and aromatic plants, and berries
  • Support other sectors in project related activities upon request by the manager or project team
  • Support in translation, e.g. during working group meetings

 

Qualifications and experience sought:

 

  • University student (academic degree will be considered an asset), preferably in the field of agriculture
  • Excellent team-working and communication skills
  • Very good knowledge of English; knowledge in German is an added value
  • Experience in organization of events
  • Attention to detail and accuracy are imperative whilst multitasking to support various colleagues and meeting tight deadlines
  • Service-oriented attitude and interpersonal skills, including adapting communication to different recipients and networking in Kosovo and with the international community
  • Able to establish good and considerate working relationship with all staff in the organization demonstrating respect for their own roles and responsibilities
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office

 Location:

 

  • The office is based in the GIZ Project office in Pristina
  • Participation in field visits throughout Kosovo is expected

Duration:

The internship is offered with a negotiable duration of 3-6 months
